Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any questions or enquires about Independent Seminars, please email seminars@fmc.co.uk.

Where do you hold your seminars?

Most of our courses are currently held in London. We use 2 main venues, which are:
• The Royal College of Physicians, Regents Park
• The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster

Please see the venues page or call 0800 371 652 for further details, directions and a map.

Can I get verifiable CPD hours if I attend an Independent Seminar?

Yes, all Independent Seminars are awarded with a minimum of 6 verifiable CPD hours and are also non-section 63 accredited. At the end of the lecture, we will present you with a recognised certificate.

Are your courses suitable for my team members?

We host a wide variety of seminars covering numerous topics in dentistry. Most courses are suitable for the entire team. Practice management lectures are a must for all staff. I would suggest you always read the outline & topics to be discussed thoroughly to determine whether or not you would like your team members to attend. Please see our future seminars page or call 0800 371 652 for further details.

Can I get a bulk-booking discount?

Yes, if you have chosen 3 seminars that interest you, you may book 3 at once and save over £100! Other ways to reduce the cost to attend are to subscribe to our journals – Private Dentistry, Aesthetic and Implant Dentistry and Endodontic Practice. All subscribers receive a 10% saving on all Independent Seminars.

What courses are coming up and where can I get an upto date list of future events?

Please view our schedule page for further details. You can book your place on-line or alternatively call us free on 0800 371 652.

What time do the lectures start and finish?

The lectures normally start at 9.30am and finish at 5.30pm. We ask delegates to register at 9am so we can start the lectures on time. Sometimes the lectures run over due to the question and answer session at the end of the day. You will be sent confirmation of the start time in all correspondence prior to the seminar.

I have a specific dietary requirement –
can you cater for me?

As long as we have at least 5 days notice we can normally cater for all specific dietary requirements. Sometimes there is an extra charge if we have to order your food from a separate catering company. Please call us on 0800 371 652 to discuss your special requirements.

Can I ask the speaker a question?

Yes, you can either save your question for the Question and Answer session at the end of the day or you can speak with the speaker during one of the breaks. Alternatively, if you would like us to ask the speaker a question on your behalf prior to the event please e-mail the question to us on seminars@fmc.co.uk.

Where can I park and how much does it cost?

There is an NCP within 5 minutes walk of the Royal College of Physicians and the Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre. Please call the NCP for further details and costs on 0207 499 7050. We will send you a map to the venue prior to the event, which clearly shows the nearest NCP.
